A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
10am, 12pm & 2pm on 16 & 17 December, 2023 at the Food Museum, Stowmarket Suffolk
The classic tale by Charles Dickens has become a Christmas tradition for us at Magic Floor. This time we are taking this festive show into Suffolk at the wonderful Food Museum in Stowmarket in Suffolk. This won’t be our first visit to the Food Museum as we have previously performed two shows, Alice in Wonderland and Holmes and Kable at Primadona Festival.
Come join us for a mince pie, some mulled wine and let us take you back to one Christmas time in Victorian England and join the story of A Christmas Carol.

Ron, a prematurely retired headteacher, and his wife, Yvonne, a would-be marathoner, are on their first caravan holiday. Pitched on a cliff in Yorkshire, the slightly dull, slightly snobby couple grapple with this strange holiday. That evening an elderly caravan appears next to theirs and sounds of noisy love-making cause Ron and Yvonne to blush. Steph and Grant, a younger, more working-class pair of seasoned caravanners have arrived and Ron’s and Yvonne’s lives will never be the same.

We are looking forward to bringing you the classic story by Agatha Christie, which we will perform in our very own Thetford Guildhall, the once Thetford Assizes courtroom.

“Meat” is a new play written by East Anglian writer James McDermott.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame by James Lapine & Peter Parnell 27 & 28 September, 4 & 5 October, 2024 at The Carnegie, Thetford Norfolk
We are bringing the streets of Paris to Thetford next summer in our telling of the ‘Hunchback of Notre Dame’. This is going to be our biggest project so far as Magic Floor and our second musical and we are so excited!
