Jesus Christ Superstar

Magic Floor Productions are thrilled to bring the iconic Jesus Christ Superstar to Thetford. Following the success of previous musicals including The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Addams Family, this bold production promises to be our most ambitious and electrifying yet.
The legendary rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice retells the final week of Jesus of Nazareth’s life through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. As political tension rises and public fascination grows, Judas becomes increasingly conflicted about Jesus’ influence and the consequences it may bring. What follows is a gripping story of loyalty, doubt, sacrifice, and betrayal, building toward the dramatic events of the Last Supper, trial, and crucifixion.
With a powerful rock score, unforgettable songs, a live band on stage, and a passionate local cast, Jesus Christ Superstar delivers raw emotion and thrilling theatrical energy in a production not to be missed.
Meat Tour 2026/27
Following the success of our previous production, Magic Floor Productions are thrilled to announce that Meat by James McDermott will be going on tour!
This powerful historical drama tells the story of Robert Carleton, a tailor from Diss, Norfolk, who was hanged for the murder of his apprentice’s fiancée. Beneath the accusation of murder lies a darker story: Carleton was also persecuted for his relationships with men, at a time when homosexuality was criminalised and could carry the death penalty.
Written by Norfolk playwright James McDermott, Meat brings this little-known local story to the stage, exploring sexuality, prejudice, justice and the treatment of LGBTQ+ people through history. Having previously received a fantastic response from audiences, we are incredibly excited to bring Meat back to the stage and take this important story to new audiences across the region.
